Sound healing uses vibrations from tools like singing bowls or tuning forks to promote relaxation, balance energy, and enhance well-being.

A clear 6 x 8-foot area is ideal to set up the massage table and allow room for movement.

For sessions including massage: you can disrobe to your comfort level. I’ll provide draping for privacy and ensure you feel safe and secure throughout the session. For sound therapy-only sessions: wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.

Stay hydrated, avoid heavy meals beforehand, and create a quiet, comfortable space. Avoid consuming alcohol or recreational drugs, as these can impact the safety and effectiveness of your treatment. Plan to be ready at least 30 minutes before your session to unwind and focus on yourself. If others will be in your home, let them know you’ll need privacy and a peaceful environment during your treatment.

Drink plenty of water, rest if needed, and avoid intense activities. Gentle stretching or a warm bath can help enhance relaxation. If you’ve received cupping or gua sha as part of your treatment, be sure to keep those areas covered and avoid hot tubs for 24 hours.

You’ll complete an intake form covering your health history, current medications, and any other treatments. Some conditions may contraindicate massage, and your therapist will review your information to ensure it’s safe to proceed. For future sessions, kindly update your therapist on any changes in your health since your last treatment.

Yes, cupping can leave temporary circular marks that are usually painless and fade within a few days to a couple of weeks. These marks aren’t bruises; in Chinese medicine, they reflect areas of blood or Qi stagnation, while in Western terms, they indicate partially broken down blood cells that will gradually be absorbed and moved into the lymphatic system.
